Allyson Felix

Allyson Nicole Felix was born on the 18th of November, 1985, at Los Angeles. Paul Felix, her father was a pastor ordained of Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix worked at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix displayed a knack for sports early, and discovered her talent for sprinting while she was at the Los Angeles Baptist High School. A mere 10 weeks after the initial attempt she made, she was ranked second for 200m at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix signed a contract for a career in professional sports with Adidas in 2003. She after that she enrolled at University of Southern California to study elementary education. Felix received her first Olympic gold medal during the Athens Summer Olympics 2004. Felix broke a junior-world record of running the 200m in 22.18. Felix was also the youngest participant in the 200-meter race in the world championships that took place in Helsinki in 2005. She was able to defend her record the following year, by beating time-tested Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix participated at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo and consistently placed in the top three of athletes in her respective events.
