Emma Stone
Emily Jean Stone, also known as Emma, was born in Scottsdale, Arizona on November 6, 1988. She was the daughter of Krista Jean Stone (nee Yeager), who is a homemaker, as well as Jeffrey Charles Stone (CEO of a contracting firm founder and CEO). She is of Swedish, German & British Isles descent. Stone began acting as a child as a member of the Valley Youth Theatre in Phoenix, Arizona, where she made her stage debut in the Kenneth Grahame production "The Wind in the Willows". Through her teens, Stone participated in various other productions until she decided to make acting her profession. The official version of the story is that she developed a PowerPoint presentation, backed by Madonna's "Hollywood" and later titled "Project Hollywood", in an effort to convince her parents to let her quit school and relocate to Los Angeles. She and her mother made the pitch, and then moved to LA. Her schooling was completed at home and she would spend the rest of her time performing auditions. She got her TV breakthrough when she was awarded the part of Laurie Partridge in the VH1 talent/reality show In Search of the Partridge Family (2004) which led to a number of smaller TV roles over the next years. Following a string successes, her role as Olive in Easy A (2010) was her movie debut. She was a student at Xavier College Preparatory, Phoenix, Arizona. Although she's known as redhead, her actual hair color is blonde. Judd Apatow suggested that she change her hair color to suit Superbad (2007). She loved it so much, she chose to keep her hair. She persuaded her parents to let her move to Hollywood at the age of fifteen by creating a PowerPoint presentation aptly titled, Project Hollywood. She began her career in acting at 11 years of age in the Valley Youth Theatre in Phoenix, AZ, where she performed in more than 16 stage productions and also acting in the comedy improv troupe. Caylee Cowan was also an actor at Valley Youth Theatre.
