Jacobs Jr. was an investment banker.She was raised in the Pittsburgh area of Mt. Lebanon. She is of French German Irish and Scottish roots. In 1847, her family created the Jackson Koehler Eagle Brewery located in Erie Pennsylvania. John Martin Magenau Jr. served as its President and COO until the brewery closed in 1978. Jacobs started studying acting at the age of eight and took acting classes on Saturdays at the Pittsburgh Playhouse while growing up.She was a part of The Pittsburgh Public Theater where she was a perennial contender for the public's Shakespeare Monologue Contest leading her to being cast as Titania in its production of A Midsummer Night's Dream. Mt. Jacobs was a student at Lebanon High School from 2000 to 2004. She graduated with a bachelor's degree in 2004 following having graduated in Lebanon High School.
