Two-time Golden Globe Award winning star made a name for herself through her appearances in CBS's One Day at a Time in the role of Barbara and Hot in Cleveland when she played Melanie Moretti. When she was a teenager she got into acting and has evolved over time into an experienced character actress. When she was young, she formed a friendship with the daughter of one of the television producer. The friendship led her to the entertainment industry and inspired her to become a professional actor. Bertinelli was a teenager studying at the Tami Lynn School of Artists, began working in television. Because of her poised and acting abilities, she created a niche quickly and soon became an extremely sought-after TV personality. Also known for her tumultuous private life as well as struggles with addiction, she worked tirelessly to rebuild her life and emerge a winner.
